For a better understanding of my photographic service  I’ve featured some frequently asked questions – together with my answers. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is any other information you would like to know about my service.

What is your prize category?

Prices for my photographic services on Maupiti are among the fairest in the country. Please contact me to help you making the best choice according to your budget.

What is your coverage area for the photo shoots?

I'm based on Maupiti and do currently most shootings around this island, but I’m happy to travel to any other destinations of French Polynesia and beyond to take your photos.

How long in advance should I to make a reservation?

I'm usually doing no more than one photo shot per day. To be most likely available on your preferred day it is advisable contact me 2 - 3 weeks in advance. Given a free time slot I’m also happy to do shootings on shorter notice.

How much time should I plan for a shooting?

Shooting times can range from some quick portraits at your accommodation to a full day photo excursions around the island. The more time you plan for your shooting the more different sceneries, light situations, styles, outfits… and finally a greater variety of pictures you'll get. It entirely depends on your preferences.

How ever,  a 1 - 2 hour photo shoot will already provide a good set of photos. Sessions can be in the morning or the afternoon - or both.

A split morning/evening shoot would cover a great spectrum of French Polynesia’s beautiful fresh blue morning colors and the amazing red to pink tones of the late afternoons including the spectacular sunsets. For this a total 3 - 4 hours shooting time is recommended, leaving plenty time for other things between the morning and the evening shoot + the opportunity to change outfits in a relaxed way.


How many photos do you I get ?

I usually take 100 - 200 photos per hour. I believe that quality goes over quantity and therefore  10 % - 20 % of the entire number of photos are usually selected and edited. How ever, there is not strict rule with releasing more than this selection. Just technical missed photos or adjustment shots are deleted immediately.

 

In what format do I received the photos?

You will receive high resolution photos without any watermarks as jpeg files. The resolution will be 300 dpi with the actual size of the photo varying between 6000 px - 2000 px on the longest side depending on which part of the photos is used (cropped). I’m also happy to release selected raw files if requested.

When and how do I receive the photos ?

You will recieve the photos 1 - 4 weeks after the shoot depending on the orders I have. If not otherwise agreed on you will receive the photos via a download link.
 

We have no experiences being in-front of the camera. Do you provide any support ?

Yes, yes ,yes ! I would say more than half of my work is about communication and the support of my clients during the photo session. You will definitely not feel left alone in-front of the camera. Relax and leave the entire process with me. It belongs to my the skills to give a photo shoot direction and to create a pleasant atmosphere in which the desired photos are easily taken. None of the people you see on my website had any modeling experience and for most of them it was their very first photo shoot.


We like natural photos and not so much the idea of posing too much. What is your approach on this ?

I believe that the best images are never captured if someone doesn’t feel authentic and comfortable. I watch for those natural moments or better fractions of a seconds that make photos epic. But these moments rarely appear  j u s t   by themselves during the relatively short time of a photo sessions. So we'll do something to "promote" their appearance:  Take a walk, explore the scenic surroundings, go in the water, run, jump, play etc. etc.  You will be given the opportunity to relax, enjoying your time, being you. Meanwhile I snap away and capture the natural beauty of your true self, your family, the unique connection between you and your partner. As the photo shoot becomes more familiar to you, some slight directions may be given, while I make sure you remain at ease and natural. Soon the entire process becomes a fun activity and „by the way“  fantastic photos of you will show up. It simply works!


How private are my photos ?

I strictly handle all images of my clients with greatest care - and respect any of their concerns. To illustrate my work persons will always be asked for their agreement to do so.
